Perspective Change

A transformed perspective produces joy.  The real key to longevity in ministry and to continued excitement and energy is not good results but the right perspective.  False motives are nothing to fret about.  Paul concerns himself with the truth that whatever the motivation, the gospel is still preached.  There is an important distinction to make, however, about Paul’s perspective.  He never rejoices about preaching of a false gospel.  Some preachers carry the right message but the wrong motive.  They preach to produce results that benefit them rather than the kingdom.  Their pretentious motives are out of the bounds of love but do not condemn them as non-believers.  The Apostle would not have rejoiced at false doctrine but he can rejoice that the Gospel is preached in spite of poor motives.
